G2MAT Lab: From Nuclear Spins to Planetary Evolution

Earth materials under extreme environments: Insights from synchrotron Inelastic X-rays

We have identified the detailed structural origins of densification in diverse earth materials (both crystalline and non-crystalline) using recently developed synchrotron inealstic x-ray scattering techniques. These studies allows us to constrain geophysical and geochemical evolutions of earth's primitive mantle and those involving super-Earth bodies.
